Thy
Word
The phrase "THY WORD" is an
acknowledgement on the part of fallible men that an infallible God has
spoken, has revealed himself to man, so that the tens of thousands of
his inspired WORDS have been captured, preserved in one comprehensive
volume, which we acknowledge in the singular as the WORD of
God. There is NO MORE valuable commodity on planet earth than
the WORD of God. There is NO governing document, including our
Constitution, more critical than the WORD of God. In fact, our founding
document is rooted in the WORD of God as indicated by phrases like
“endowed by their Creator” and “nature’s God.”
The Left hates our Constitution
exactly because of the place it gives to God and his WORD. In order to
justify abortion, homosexual perversion, non-binary transgenderism and
all the fear-mongering associated with climate change, it must seek to
obliterate God the Creator and his WORD from the public discourse.
The WORD God gave to govern nations
is the same WORD he gave to govern the individual. In Psalm 119, God
gave us his greatest endorsement of the WORD and its vital
importance. “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by
taking heed thereto according to THY WORD” (119:9). “THY WORD have I
hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” (119:11). “My
soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to THY WORD”
(119:25).
“Before I was afflicted I went
astray: but now have I kept THY WORD” (119:67). “My soul fainteth for
thy salvation: but I hope in THY WORD” (119:81). “For ever, O LORD, THY
WORD is settled in heaven” (119:89). “THY WORD is a lamp unto
my feet, and a light unto my path” (119:105). “Order my steps in THY
WORD: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me” (119:133). I
rejoice at THY WORD, as one that findeth great spoil”
(119:162).
The prophet Jeremiah likewise
affirmed: “THY WORDS were found, and I did eat them; and THY WORD was
unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart” (15:16). In John
17, Jesus used the phrase as he petitioned the Father for his own. “I
have given them THY WORD; and the world hath hated them, because they
are not of the world, even as I am not of the world” (17:14). “Sanctify
them through thy truth: THY WORD is truth” (17:17). The WORD of God is
as necessary to the spiritual life of a believer as air, water and food
are to his physical life.
King David had NO qualms about
injecting the WORD of God—the TRUTH—into the political discourse and
international relations: “I will speak of thy testimonies also before
kings, and will not be ashamed” (Psalm 119:46). Oh for a President with
that kind of conviction!
The WORD of God—the TRUTH—is
virtually non-existent, unwelcome within the Halls of Congress (BOTH
Parties), the SCOTUS, the White House, our institutions of so-called
higher learning, our State Legislatures
and Governorships.
America at this hour is like a
rudderless ship, tossed to and fro on a tumultuous sea of error. As
long as America’s POLITICS are void of God’s PRECEPTS, we will continue
our downward spiral into godlessness and tyranny. Our salvation, O
LORD, is in THY WORD!
